Carnot Game Description
Carnot Game is an engaging game centered around the Carnot Cycle, where participants need to alternate between three thermal sources (hot, insulator, and cold) in order to optimize the work exerted on the piston of a cylinder. The objective is to maintain the piston functioning in the ideal Carnot cycle, executing the transitions between sources at appropriate moments to prevent the cylinder from exploding or freezing. The nearer the player is to the Carnot cycle, the greater their score and advancement.
The player is required to click the button to switch between the system’s thermal sources, ensuring they make the transitions at the correct times to prevent the piston from jamming or the cylinder from exploding. The Carnot cycle comprises four thermodynamic processes.
